All I have to say is the builds are trash
The only reason I got it was for the stunning artwork that I miss from GW:EN not having a collector's edition.
EDIT: sample builds

mo/me with 16 prot for restore condition, 8 inspiration for LEECH signet

Read the Wind, Barrage, Distracting Shot, Lightning Reflexes, Whirling Defense, Resurrect, Healing Breeze, Orison of healing
That one just has to be a joke.

The bad mouthing would start a week after it was not realeased on time. It would grow louder and louder until the game is released. Then upon released, regardless of how trouble free the game is, people will start to moan about how long the delay was and they still don't have this, or don't allow that, or it doesn't live up to the promises, etc. etc. etc. You can be emotional and stoic and be disappointed, or you can be a realist and roll with the punches.

I have to disagree. Good games are good games, period. Some people will whine about delays and waits, but immediately become silent if the final product is good. Fans had to wait almost six years to find out what happened to Gordon Freeman between Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2. Fallout, a franchise long rumored to have been dead and buried, got revived and many fans are happy about it. And Bioshock is effectively a spiritual successor to System Shock 2 which came out ages ago.
What absolutely kills a brand is if there are incredibly long and stupid delays, and finally the product comes out and it is completely outdated or horrible versus all the other games out there. A perfect example would be Ion Storm's Daikatana.
As for Guild Wars 2, the really important thing is for the programmers and developers to confess that Guild Wars 1 has some serious design flaws that must be fixed. For instance, a lack of an auction house--when just about every MMORPG out there has one--is a huge mistake. Online RPGs are everywhere, and people now compare any new ones to the ones already in existence. As a result, telling fans that they are "trying" to implement an auction house in GW2 is not enough. If they are planning to shortchange fans with no auction house or user-based shops, then the outrage and criticism will be brutal.

I don't really like the idea of the Canthan Empire defeating the Luxon and Kurzick nations - it doesn't make sense. The Kurzicks and Luxons are immensely more powerful as far as military goes, and have all the might of the alliances behind them. If Cantha tried anything, a massive amount of Player Characters would tear down all of Kaineng City and execute the new Emperor in less than an hour.
I like what I hear about Elona, though - Palawa Joko is one of my favourite characters Rock on, Palawa!

I agree, there are certain things that you have to have, and an auction house is one of them.

As I have said before on the other thread about this, the Luxons and Kurzicks have been killing each other for a long time, do you really think that they have a huge population base left to defend themselves against the army the size that Cantha could muster? Not to mention that they wouldn't stop fighting each other while fighting Cantha and thus their military power would be split in half. And most of the player characters are out defending Ascalon from the Charr armies in a losing battle anyways.
